Terms of Service

Last updated: April 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Conversation Cards (the "Service", available at conversationcards.lol), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by the Conversation Cards team ("we", "our"). It is a free web application offering conversation-starter decks for personal, educational, and social use.

2. Description of the Service

Conversation Cards provides a collection of curated questions organized into themed decks, along with user-created decks, an AI-assisted deck generator ("Magic Deck"), favorites, and a deck mixer. The Service runs entirely in your browser and does not require an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to create or share content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or intended to harm others.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' experience.
  • Scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit the curated deck content without written permission.
  • Use the Magic Deck generator to create prompts designed to produce harmful or violent content, sexually explicit content involving minors, or otherwise prohibited content.

4. Content ownership and licensing

The curated question decks, site design, and editorial content (including the blog) are the intellectual property of the Conversation Cards team and are protected by copyright. You may use the questions in personal, non-commercial conversations freely. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute the decks as your own content.

Decks you create yourself (including via Magic Deck) are stored locally in your browser and remain under your ownership. You grant us a limited, revocable license to process the topic text you submit to Magic Deck solely for the purpose of generating your deck.

5. AI-generated content (Magic Deck)

The Magic Deck feature uses a third-party AI provider to generate questions based on a topic you supply. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, biased, or occasionally unexpected. Review the output before using it, particularly in sensitive contexts.

You are responsible for the prompts you submit and the content you choose to share. We reserve the right to rate-limit or restrict the Magic Deck feature to prevent abuse.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific outcomes from using the questions, or that the Service will be free of bugs or errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Conversation Cards team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months — which, for a free service, is zero.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.
